“Created from Chaos” is a self-guided geological trail promoting 12 unique geological features along the North West coast of Tasmania. A brochure will be available to guide visitors along the trail, and interpretative signage placed at each site providing further information. The trail follows “The Great Nature Trail” touring route, and is a fascinating and highly visual component in the shaping of the Tasmania we live in today. The various sites were created by extremely violent, volcanic activity, millions of years ago. They provide the foundations of the natural beauty, intriguing wildlife, history and heritage that Tasmania has to offer.

The project promotes little-known natural geological features for tourists and visitors and provides opportunities for tour operators to value-add to tours by having the option to target special interest or geological markets.
